Indigo moods, soulful spaces and intoxicating journeys have comprised the three tenets of what has fascinated me about music as far back as I can remember. Every genre, style and phase of music that I have entered into has carried with it those synonymous qualities - whether it be jazz, dance, ambient, dub, classical, world or any hybrid thereof - I have always been attracted to that eschelon of music which unfolds as a definitive mood. Like a lover, I'm always searching for that sensual appeal in music, which, as one may be aware, is anything but prevalent in the industry.

My intent in getting DISH up and running has been to provide a forum for just such music - those little gems that might slip away unnoticed - if not for the interest and dedication of underground artists and audiences keeping the vibe alive in its many forms. I really see the success of underground music as a group effort with every genre doing its part in combating the shallow, depthless, depravity of mainstream formats and providing a true alternative for devotees worldwide.

Thus far my interests in music have led me to involvements ranging from performance in bands to direction of University-media boards, radio management, dj'ing, editorial work for XLR8R and StepJazz magazines as well as eons of "ear candy" sessions just appreciating the sheer artistry of it all. (Production in the near future, perhaps?) I am currently working with DJ Finn on a weekly basis at the Sound Factory as well as the occasional appearance at Full House (also here in San Francisco) and can generally be found milling about the finest retail music establishments citywide.

What can I say? Music is life and for me true livin' is in music. Serving (at one point or another) as my family, friend, food, shelter and religion; life just wouldn't be the same without it.
