DISH is set to establish some realm of consciousness in regards to all that is definitive, deep and delicious in the underground music scene. You've heard it all before, but we do believe there is a time and place to set the record straight and with this first issue we will do just that. We'd like to spread the wealth while shedding the light on some of the overlooked, underpaid and under-regarded artists of our time who are doing their best to bring to light music with a message.
We will make the greatest attempt not to over-"genre-fy" this scene with catchy terms, convenient trends and opinionated perspectives. This is quite simply the music that catches our eyes, ears and minds and would like to indulge in this celebration with the world at large. From jazz to jungle, lounge to 'lectro and all that winds its way in-between, we hope to garner your thoughts and minds as we journey through the musical mire to sort out all that is truly "dish-able".
These standards, of course, do not stand alone and we encourage (and anticipate) a good deal of response from you, the faithful musik-luvah, as you share with us any and all input you may have. We're all in it for the nectar of the vibe and wish to keep you up and runnin' with all the latest we can get our grubby little ears upon. Keepin' it brief and beefy just the way momma makes it ... and, as a staple for your monthly musical diet, we'll be busy stirrin' up many warm and hearty helpings to come. . .

Technically and creatively, DISH is the product of a desire to bring a fresh, functional, yet cutting-edge product to this new medium of the Word Wide Web. Yeah, everybody's doing it now, but what we hope is to give you something different, something you'll remember, dare we say even bookmark. Though we're familiar with all the bells and whistles and techno-gadgets of WWW programming, we'll always strive for content over spiffy but superfluous technical wizardry. For the moment, DISH pretty much requires Netscape 2.0 and Macromedia's shockwave plug-in to deliver sound, so please use these tools to view our site. Our goal is to go for a monthly format, which could change too, we'll just have to see how it goes...
